Hana Designs: Gender Identity Services

In 1988, Hana unveiled a revolutionary concept in beauty services for the Transgendered community in the Denver metro area. Her idea was simple, but inspired: provide a discreet, professional, full-service environment for a sector of the population that until that time had few places to turn for much-needed guidance in the very practical matters of appearance and deportment.

Hana began by affiliating herself with the various support groups in the community, including the Gender Identity Center in Lakewood, Colorado, which presented her with an award in 1992, in recognition of her considerable efforts and accomplishments. She worked to educate group members in the many options avialable to those in process of transition, and subsequently initiated her program of services and solutions that has, over the years, evolved into the core of Hana Designs.

Equally as important as the business itself, Hana established a solid foundation of understanding and trust with her clients. That philosophy of compassion, empathy, and professionalism remains her driving force.
